RE:FI STHLM advises MaintMaster on annual recurring revenue (ARR) financing

RE:FI STHLM has advised MaintMaster, a Swedish maintenance software company predominantly owned by Monterro, in connection with securing annual recurring revenue (ARR) financing from HSBC Innovation Banking. MaintMaster provides a cloud-based maintenance management platform. Monterro is a Nordic growth investor specialising in investments in B2B software companies.

ARR financing is a type of debt financing based on a company’s Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) rather than traditional metrics such as assets, EBITDA, or cash flow. It has gained popularity recently among companies with stable and predictable subscription-based revenue streams, especially in the SaaS sector. These companies may not yet be profitable or may have EBITDA levels too low to support conventional leveraged financing, but they can demonstrate consistent recurring revenue generated from customer contracts or subscription-based offerings. Typical uses include refinancing debt, funding corporate expenses, recapitalisation (such as dividends), and supporting growth initiatives.

RE:FI STHLM is a Stockholm-based specialist law firm founded by experienced banking and finance lawyers, providing advice on complex financings and restructurings.
