RE:FI STHLM advises lenders in financing of Modern Times Group MTG AB (publ) (“MTG”) acquisition of Plarium Global Ltd (“Plarium”)
RE:FI STHLM acted as legal advisor to Swedbank AB (publ), Nordea Bank Abp, filial i Sverige, and DNB Bank ASA, Sweden Branch, in connection with the financing of MTG’s acquisition of 100% of Plarium from Aristocrat Leisure Limited.
The financing includes term loan and revolving facilities in an aggregate amount of up to USD 460 million. Subject to regulatory approvals, the transaction is expected to close in Q1 2025.
Plarium has approximately 1,300 employees with its headquarter in Israel, and with teams in Poland, Ukraine, Finland and the rest of the world. Plarium is known for the game RAID: Shadow Legends, which was launched in 2019 and is reportedly the highest grossing turn-based role-playing game on the Google and Apple app stores.
