Advokaten: Johan Lundberg is lawyer of the month

Just over a year ago, Johan Lundberg left his role as partner at a big law firm after more than two decades and founded the niche law firm RE:FI STHLM. In an interview with Advokaten, he shares what led him to fully commit to finance law, and how the response from clients, colleagues, and the industry confirmed that the timing was right.

RE:FI is the first specialist firm in Sweden, and likely in the Nordics, to focus exclusively on financing and restructuring. In a short time, the firm has grown rapidly, with the ambition to offer the same level of expertise and capacity as full-service firms, but with the freedom to collaborate with the best people for each case, regardless of affiliation. “It’s been a lot of work, but also one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in my career,” says Lundberg.

With a growing team, an active advisory board, and increasing demand for high-end advice in areas ranging from traditional loans and private debt to ARR-based financing and corporate restructurings, RE:FI is looking to grow further — without compromising on quality or specialization.
